Lomi Lomi:
“A Path with Heart”
Every word in the Hawaiian language they Say has 7 layers of meaning. This could also be
said for the traditional Hawaiian healing practice of Lomilomi. Interpreted literally
Lomilomi means “rub rub” or to “break apart”. However Lomilomi
goes many layers deeper then a soothing rub.
The long flowing movements assist the body in metabolizing waste. Clearing out the sludge
to make space for the desired state of health to come forward in it’s fullest potential.
Many of the stretches in Lomilomi are remininscent of osteopathy and joint mobilization
techniques.
