Donna Hammers
Aloha, dear friends and family of spirit. Mahalo, for having taken the time to visit my website. Here is a little about me.
I came to the vocation of massage the same way many of us in care giving professions do, naturally. I have always intuitively wanted to help. Whether it was rescuing the bird from the cat's mouth as a child, or nursing the needs of a laboring mother, ailing elder, or the tired aching neck of a loved one in my adult life.
I answered the calling to my profession in May of 1998. I attended Seattle Massage School (now Ashmead) and graduated with honors in May of 1999. This laid the foundation of my massage career. I have since worked in all facets of the massage profession in my 8 years as a therapist; injury rehabilitation, relaxation, spa body treatments, and finally arriving at holistic health and wellbeing.
I have invested myself in nearly 1,000 hours of continuing education post massage school. I must confess this continues to be as much for personal enrichment as it is for professional stewardship of my licensure.
My husband 4 children and my self relocated to Spokane in the summer of 2006. This move was most of all an investment in our future. Having always lived on the western side of the state and realizing the pace did not fit the picture of our family needs.
I have since become an active business member and seen a very strong sense of community through my involvement in support organizations such as the Spokane Chamber, NAWBO, and Hospice of Spokane. I am proud to call Spokane home now and hope to continue serving the needs of the Spokane community through my work as a Licensed Massage Therapist. “Malama Pono” (Take good care).
